Rugby: Leek bid to make it eight wins from eight in promotion push

LEEK RUFC 1st XV will be bidding to make it eight wins from eight when they travel to sixth-placed Kidderminister this Saturday.

Just two points separate Leek and leaders Stourbridge Lions at the top of the Midlands Two West (North) table.

Stourbridge are long odds-on not to surrender their slender advantage this weekend as they are away to bottom club Shrewsbury.

Leek registered their seventh win on the bounce with a 32-24 defeat of  Camp Hill last weekend with tries from Lee Williams, Bobby Cheadle, Gary McDermott and Joel Booth. McDermott was also in splendid kicking form.
