Police warn traders to guard against accepting fake £50 bank notes

POLICE are urging traders to be on their guard after a fake £50 note was used to pay for goods at a Biddulph shop.

The shop in Kingsfield Road was targeted by a man who spoke with an Irish accent at around 10.40 yesterday (Wednesday) morning.

He is described as white, aged between 40 and 50, around 5ft 4ins tall and off slim build with a gingery beard.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 184 of February 1.
