Leek Town boss reflects on his side’s costly missed chances at Northwich

LEEK Town manager Ant Danylyk has reflected on his side’s goalless daw at bottom club Northwich Victoria in the Division One South of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League on Saturday.

On any other day we would have won easily after creating enough chances to win two games and missing a penalty didn’t help,” he said.

However, we stopped the run of defeats but we needed the three points but we needed all three points to keep in touch with the leading pack.”

Leek were without Jordan Johnson for the trip to Northwich after he dislocated his elbow during training last Thursday.

The striker is now encased in plaster for three weeks and will be out of action for a further three weeks recuperating.

Danylyk himself was also ruled out after sustaining a calf injury in training.

Leek are running a coach to the league fixture at Carlton Town this Saturday. A limited number of seats are available to supporters at £8 each.

The coach will leave the ground at 11.15am picking up at Catchems Corner at 11.45 – book through Tim Lucy on 07969 301345 or [email protected]

For those making their own travel arrangements the ground address is Bill Stokeld Stadium, Stoke Lane, Gedling, Nottinghamshire NG4 2QS
