PANCAKE racers are gearing up for their annual challenge at Werrington on Tuesday, February 28.
Council officials have agreed to allow the historic race to return to its original venue in Washerwall Lane.
The event has been confined to the village primary school since being revived by Werrington Young Person”s Support Group in 2010.
The village pancake race dates back to the early 1960’s and was organised by supporters of St Philip’s Church.
The activities, for adults and children, will commence at 11am outside the shops in Washerwall Lane.
