Emilia and Rory are bidding for glory at Crufts

PAINLSLEY Catholic College student Emilia Bowers is hoping her dog-handling skills put her top of her class at Crufts this weekend.

The 12 year old, from Parkhall, Weston Coyney, has her pet pooch Rory, a cocker spaniel, entered at the world’s largest dog show in Birmingham.

Emilia has taken part in Crufts for the last two years but is stepping up to the over-12’s hanldling class for the first time.

Roray – named after former Stoke City favourite Roray Delap – will be taking part in the solo and jumping events.

Emilia is part of the Kennel Club’s Team GB and has been chosen as non-travelling reserve for an international competition in Luxembourg.
