VISITORS to the Royal Stoke University Hospital face five weeks of traffic chaos because of major roadworks.
The Hartshill roadworks will close The Avenue – between Ashlands Avenue and Hartshill Road – for up to five weeks from tomorrow (Thursday), adding congestion to surrounding roads.
The Avenue is one of the main routes to and from the hospital used by patients, staff and visitors.
The No 25 First Potteries bus service is being diverted during the roadworks.
It is hoped to have the road re-opened on April 5.
