THE Donna Louise Children’s Hospice in Stoke-on-Trent is staging its annual 5k and 10k family fun run at Trentham Gardens on Sunday, May 21.
The event, which makes an important contribution to the annual running costs of the Trentham hospice, caters for serious and fun runners alike
This year’s fun run will be staged over a new course, starting from the southern entrance to the Gardens, near the Monkey Forest, which is accessed of the A34 near to Tittesworth village.
The organisers hope to beat last year’s amazing figure of £41,409 raised.
Hospice events manager Zoe Gregory said: “This promises to be a great day with something for all the family.
“The 5k run is open to all age and abilities and the course is wheelchair and pushcair-friendly.”
To keep spectators entertained while the runners are out on the course there will be a variety of family attractions, from face painting to pony rides and crafts.
