Teenage cyclist found lying injured on a country road

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenage cyclist was found injured on a country road in the Staffordshire Moorlands on Friday.

A passer-by alerted the emergency services after discovering the 19-year-old man lying injured alongside his bike on Stoney Lane, Cauldon.

He was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital suffering from injuries to his head, wrist, hands and face.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 146 of  March 27.
