Tuesday Sport: Tim Grice hat-trick ends Blues dismal run

TIM Grice (pictured) took his impressive overall goals tally for Leek Town to 125 with a superbly taken hat-trick at happy Harrison Park tonight.

Grice’s goals ended Blues dismal run of five successive defeats to rekindle his side’s promotion play-off hopes.

The striker has now scored 20 goals or more every season for Blues except one when he was injured.

Sam Grimshaw netted Blues other goal which put the hosts 3-0 up at half-time.

Kieran Walker replied for Carlton after 47 minutes before Grice added Blues fourth goal 10 minutes later.

Substitute Dan Shelley came on for Johnny Higham to mark his 200th appearance in a Leek Town shirt.
