Council to act on Aldi car parking row in Leek

COMMUNITY leaders have come out in support of furious  Aldi shoppers in Leek caught up in row over car parking.

Dozens of  motorists have fallen victim to a controversial car parking system, which requires them to enter their vehicle’s registration number into machines located in the Haywood Street store.

Anyone who believes they have been wrongly fined £70 for alleged misuse of the store’s car park is being asked to contact Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.

Councillors last week debated whether Aldi’s actions were in breach of a Section 106 planning agreement.
