Village ukele group launches on a promising note

THE newly-formed Werrington Ukele Group has launched on a promising note.

So good has been the response the group is to increased its number of originally proposed meetings.

More than 20 people turned up at the launch on Saturday to express an interest.

Now organiser Colin Goodwin has agreed to hold regular ukele sessions every two weeks.

The next session is at Werrington Community and Wellbeing Centre on Saturday, May 6.

Each session is free and runs from 10.30am to mid-day in the children’s centre in Ash Bank Road. Instruments can be provided on the day.
