New pub opens in Cheadle town centre

GLASSES are being raised to the opening of a new pub in Cheadle town centre.

The Bakers Arms, on High Street, is housed in a Grade II-listed building previously occupied by a long-established family bakery.

It is the latest North Staffordshire hostelry to join the expanding porfolio of Caldmore Taverns.

It is the second hostelry to be opened in the Staffordshire Moorlands by the Shropshire-based brewery, who operate the Fountain Inn in Leek

The opening of the Cheadle pub has created eight new jobs in the town.

The landlord of The Bakers Arms is 61 year old Chris Doran, who has previously run pubs in Lancashire and the Lake District.
