Beds to be removed from Leek Moorlands Hospital

MORE than a dozen beds are to be removed from Leek Moorlands Hospital in the coming months.

NHS bosses have confirmed the number of beds will be reduced from 44 to 36 between May and September.

Other services will not be affected until a consultation into the future of the hospital has been completed.

An online petition to save the hospital has attracted 40,000 signatures – and thousands more names have been added to a hard copy petition.
