Heartless thieves rip life-saving defibrillator from pub wall

HEARTLESS thieves have stolen a life-saving defibrillator attached to a disused village pub.

The heart-start machine was torn from the wall  outside the Auctioneers Arms, in Cookshill, which closed last year.

The £1,500 defibrillator  was was purchased by villagers with help from Caverswall Parish Council.

Police investigating the incident and are appealing for help from the public in tracking the offenders.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101.

Villagers are campaigning to save the pub which has been sold off for possible housing development.
