RUDYARD Sailability are inviting entries for their annual dragon boat race day.
The charity’s fundraising fun event will take place at Rudyard Lake on Sunday, July 8.
It costs £200 to enter a team and trophies will be awarded to the winners.
The dragon boats are twin-hulled canoes paddled by 11 team members.
The day starts with time trials which splits the teams into either the cup or the plate competition.
A Sailability spokesman said: “The adrenalin flows as teams race for the trophies, but all are heroes in our eyes and everyone goes home with a medal and a great sense of achievement.
“We are always looking for new teams to enter our race each year, and this year we are hoping to make it an even bigger and better event.”
In addition to the main boat racing there is also a BBQ, cake stall, and other fund-raising activities.
There will also be an opportunity to register children between the ages of 7 and 14 on a first come, first served basis, for a lunchtime children’s race.
