Annabelle to be crowned Bagnall Chestnut Queen

ANNABELLE White will be crowned Bagnall Chestnut Queen at this Saturday’s village fete.

Performing the honours will be Sybil Ralphs MBE, leader of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.

Nine years old Annabelle, who lives in the village, is a pupil at Endon Hall Primary School.

Annabelle will be attended by cousin Madeline Fletcher, twin sisters Heidi and Harriet Broad, Annabelle Grocott, Sophie Holt, Saffy Vincent-Hall, Poppy Vincent and Poppy Wain.

The annual fete, which dates back to 1922, raises funds towards the upkeep of the village hall.

The crowning ceremony will take place at St Chad’s Church at 1pm.

The fete will open at the village hall at 2pm following a procession through the village.
