Humphrey is enjoying his role as High Sheriff of Staffordshire

HUMPHREY Scott-Moncrieff of Basford Hall, Cheddleton, is halfway through completing his grandeur role as this year’s High Sheriff of Staffordshire.

“It’s a heady experience, very exciting, and extremely interesting,” he said.

One of the 71 year old’s duties as Staffordshire’s High Sheriff is to attend royal visits to the county – something not new to him.

In December 2009, Humphrey – a descendant of the Sneyd family- was sworn in as an official representative of the queen for his home county, as Deputy Lieutenant of Staffordshire.

The likeable Humphrey, who is married to Judy, has been combining his role as High Sheriff with raising funds for worthy causes.
