Mums save breast-feeding group from being axed

FOUR mums have got together to keep a breast-feeding support group going in a Moorlands village.

The group, which meets weekly at Werrington Library, faced being axed because of NHS cut-backs.

But Debbie Tomlinson, Karen Brock, Lisa Grosvenor and Sarah St Clair have stepped in to pass on help and advice to new mums from their own personal experiences.

The four are operating on a rota basis at the Thursday group meetings, from 10am until 11.30am, with everyone who attends contributing £1 per session towards running costs.

Retired health visitor Kate Wilshaw, 63, from Bagnall, is also given the group her support.
