School play area removed after complaints from neighbours

COMPLAINTS from neighbours have led to a ‘noisy’ pupils’ play area to be removed at a village school.

The action has been taken at St Anne’s Primary School, Brown Edge, following a visit from an investigating environmental health officer

The officer found the noise levels in excess of what would be normally considered acceptable for a neighbouring residential property.

The covered play area has been used by reception class children at the school and is now subject of a retrospective planning application.
