Dabbers of Nantwich give Leek Town a drubbing

LEEK Town’s pre-season success bubble burst with a 4-0 drubbing from the Dabbers of Nantwich Town tonight.

The Blues trailed 3-0 at half-time to their visitors from the Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division.

Former Crewe Alex player Harry Clayton (pictured) scored twice, in the 34th and 39th minutes, after Kieran Evans had put Nantwich ahead on 23 minutes.

The visitors looked comfortable on the ball and Jordan Davies put them 4-0 up from the penalty spot after 55 minutes.

PORT Vale lost 1-0 to Championship side Derby County who had Tom Huddlestone, Darren Bent, Curtis Davies, Andre Wisdom and Chris Baird in their starting line-up.

Bent scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot in the second half.
