Arsonists target Blythe Bridge family home twice in 10 days

POLICE are investigating claims by a Blythe Bridge mum-of-four that arsonists have struck at her home eight times in two-and-a-half months.

Fire broke out again at the family’s home, in The Avenue, at 4am yesterday. Everyone in the house escaped safely after being alerted by smoke alarms installed by the fire service after a previous incident.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “The cause of the latest fire has been confirmed as deliberate and an investigation is underway. We are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry.”

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 101, quoting incident 77 of July 20, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Anyone with information about the previous attack should quote incident 108 of July 10.
