EIGHT men have been arrested across Stoke-on-Trent today (August 1) as part of an operation targeting suspected drug dealers.
Under Operation Nemesis, the force’s ongoing campaign to tackle drug crime, officers have executed warrants at a number of addresses in Shelton, Burslem and Sneyd Green.
The men have been arrested in connection with drugs offences and a large quantity of cannabis recovered.
The operation is continuing with further addresses to be targeted.
Sgt Ian Goodwin, from Stoke Central Local Policing Team (LPT), said: “Our communities tell us that drug dealing and drug crime is a problem where they live, and so we are acting on information received and taking positive action.
“We remain committed to taking dealers, and drugs, off the city’s streets.”
