MORE than 300 cannabis plants were recovered by police from a house in Shelton, Stoke-on-Trent on Monday night.
A total of 303 plants, with an estimated street value of £30,000, were discovered in two upstairs rooms and the attic of the house in Cauldon Road.
Police were alerted to the presence of the cannabis factory by the owner of the rented house.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “The electricity supply had also been bypassed to power heat lamps, making it very dangerous. The electricity supply was turned off and the property made safe.
“Nobody was in the property at the time and investigations are continuing.”
