Drop in and have your say about the Staffordshire Moorlands Local Plan

STAFFORDSHIRE Moorlands District Council is currently consulting residents and businesses about its Preferred Options Local Plan.

This key document will shape housing and employment development across the district up to 2031.

Consultation drop-in sessions are taking place to offer people the opportunity to find out more about what is proposed and to share their views with council officers.

In recent weeks sessions have taken place at Biddulph Town Hall and at Moorlands House in Leek..

This Thursday (August 24) Werrington residents are invited to drop in at the village Methodist Chapel, on Ash Bank Road, between 5pm and 8pm, to view the proposals and make their views known.

Further drop-in sessions will take place on Wednesday, August 30, at Blythe Bridge Village Hall, and on Thursday, September 7, at Cheadle Guild Hall.

The documents are avaliable online at www.staffordshiremoorlands.gov.uk/localplan and copies can also be viewed at council one-stop shops around the district.

The consultation period closes at 5pm on Friday, September 22.
