Sunday Sport: Crouch accepts a gift on behalf of Stoke from West Brom

STOKE City ended West Brom’s 100 per cent winning start to the season courtesy of a gift goal.

A defensive mix-up between Egypt international Ahmed Hegazi and former Stoke goalkeeper Ben Foster allowed Peter Crouch to head in a 77th minute equaliser unchallenged.

The Baggies had looked set to join Manchester United on nine points at the top of the Premier Division table after Jay Rodriguez used his head to put them in front after 61 minutes.

The point gained from the 1-1 draw moved the Potters up into 11th spot in the table.
