Dilhorne Ladies team are crowned bowling green champions

ALL-CONQUERING Dilhorne Ladies have added the Sentinel Birks Team Trophy to their collection of bowls silverware gained this season

Dilhorne ran out convincing 144-109 winners against the team they beat in last year’s final, Tittensor, losing just one of the seven ends.

Carol Matthews, who beat Tittensor’s Frances Corbishley 21-17 in the final, was named ‘lady of the match.’

Dilhone recently beat Clough Hall in the Nancy Boulton Senior Tournament final and signed off their season in the Staffordshire County Ladies Association competition on Thursday as Division One champions.  

Leek Park Two Ladies have been crowned champions of Division Four, with Creda Two runners-up, while Kingsley have finished second to Westlands One in Division Two.
