Collision blocked busy commuter route through village

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a road accident which blocked a busy commuter route through a Moorlands village yesterday afternoon (Oct 12).

Two vehicles were involved in a collision with a skip lorry on the A52 at Werrington at around 1.40pm.

A West Midlands Ambulance Services spokesman said: “One ambulance attended and treated a patient for back and neck pain. A doctor from a local surgery was also at the scene.”

Witnesses to the collision, which happened near to the A52 junction with Washerwall Lane, are asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101.
