Recommended boundary changes would see Moorlands constituency take in Cheadle and Blythe

CHEADLE and Blythe Bridge would be transferred from Stone to the Staffordshire Moorlands constituency under the latest recommended changes unveiled by the Boundary Commission.

The changes would see the enlarged Staffordshire Moorlands Constituency cover the entire district.

A new Stoke-on-Trent South and Stone Constituency would stretch from Stone, Barlaston and Fulford up to Trentham, Blurton, Longton, Weston Coyney and Meir.

There is speculation that the boundary review aimed at reducing the number of MPs in Parliament – from 650 to 600 – will never be implemented.

The Conservative Government needs sufficient support from its own MPs and those on the opposition benches for any changes to be implemented.
