Two people from Leek arrested following fatal collision involving cyclist

TWO people were arrested following a fatal collision involving a car and a cyclist in Cheshire in the early hours of Saturday.

The accident happened on the A523 between Bosley Crossroads and Macclesfield shortly before 1am.

Cyclist Steven Farrish, 49, a musician, Macclesfield, was rushed to the Royal Stoke University Hospital where he died.

A 31 year old man and 24 year old woman, both from Leek, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They were later released under investigation.
