Friday Sport: Weather forecast a little better for weekend local football

THE weather forecast is looking a little better for local outdoor sport tomorrow (Saturday).

There remains a risk of frost this evening but it less likely to be around in the morning.

Last weekend’s wintery condition caused the cancellation of many local football matches – including the entire Potteries and District Sunday League programme.

Stoke City and Port Vale find themselves in the unusual position of both playing at home on the same day.

Stoke face Swansea in the Preier League at the bet365 stadium, while Vale play host to Yeovil Town in the second round of the Emirates FA Cup.
