Village pub will reopen after shock closure says brewery

LOCAL imbibers are threatened with the prospect of a ‘dry Christmas’ after their village’s only pub closed ahead of the festive season.

The Red House, at Caverswall, shut after the publican called ‘time’ for the last time.

However, a spokesman for Solihull-based Ei Publican Partnerships, which runs the pub,  said: “We are undertaking work at the site and would like to reassure the local community that we aim to reopen as soon as possible.”
