Pedestrian critically injured after being hit by car in Cheadle

A 25-year-old male pedestrian has been critically injured after being involved in a collision with a car on the A522 in Cheadle in the early hours.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “We received a call at 1.48am to reports of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian on Tean Road in Cheadle.

“The road was closed while the collision investigation unit attended and re-opened after 7.30am.

“The man, a 25 year old, from the Tean area, has suffered serious head injuries and is in a critical condition.

“The driver has not been arrested .”
