Leek Town throw away a three-goal lead and have two players sent off

BLUES threw away a three-goal lead and had two players sent off on a turbulent night they will want to forget in a hurry.

Rob Stevenson (10 mins) and Tim Grice (40 mins) gave Blues a 2-0 interval lead before it all went wrong for them in the second half.

The hosts were reduced to 10 men in the 68th minute when Sam Hall was dismissed after being shown a second yellow yard.

Even so Grice looked to have wrapped up the points for Blues with a second goal in the 80th minute to make it 3-0.

However, Alvechurch battled on undaunted and pulled a goal back through Ashley Carter just two minutes later to set up a dramatic finale.

Yusifu Ceesay reduced the deficit further for Alvechurch with a goal in 88th minute – much to the anger Maguire, who reacted by pushing over an Alvechurch player and was promptly ordered off by the referee.

With Blues down to nine players Alvechurch cashed in by snatching an equaliser through Aaron Lloyd in the second minute of added time.
