Highways crews have battled extreme conditions to keep roads open

DRIFTING snow has caused problems for Staffordshire County Council’s gritting crews as they battled extreme conditions to clear roads.

Crews working around the clock to keep the county moving.

Snow ploughs, tractor ploughs and JCBs have all been utilised to dig out drifts and clear the snow, with crews concentrating on major routes around the county.
