Police appeal for witnesses after man is struck by car in nature reserve

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man’s wrist was broken when he was struck by a car in a nature reserve. 

The incident happened at around 6pm on Sunday (March 4) in the car park at Ford Green Hall nature reserve, off Ford Green Road, Smallthorne.

The 51-year-old victim was thrown over the bonnet of the silver Ford Fiesta and suffered a broken wrist and other injuries.

A 19-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested in connection with the incident and released pending further enquiries.
