Bus users in the Moorlands are set to lose two D&G services

BUS operator D&G are withdrawing two services which operate through Staffordshire Moorlands.

Network manager Chris Almond explained the Adderley Green-based company had no alternative due to Staffordshire County Council slashing its bus subsidy budget by 1.4 million pounds.

D&G services being withdrawn from the Moorlands from April 1 are:

No. 93 Leek to Gillow Heath via Endon, Brown Edge, Biddulph and Biddulph Moor.

No. 12 Fulford to Newport via Blythe Bridge, Meir Heath, Longton, Barlaston, Stone and Eccleshall.

A number of other of the company’s services elsewhere in North Staffordshire are also affected by the reduction in subsidies.
