SUNSHINEANDBUBBLES atoned for a recent narrow defeat at Wolverhampton racecourse with a victory under Irish apprentice jockey Rossa Ryan tonight.
Exciting young prospect Ryan, who is attached to Richard Hannon’s top stables, won twice aboard the Jennie Candlish-trained five-year-old mare at the end of last year.
It was the mare’s fourth success from nine starts this year and increased the Basford Grange yard’s wins tally for 2018 to an impressive 16.
Sunshineandbubbles started tonight’s 1m 4f fillies handicap as fourth favourite (9/2) and showed a step in distance presented no problems with a comfortable one length victory over her 10 rivals, after taking up the lead two furlongs out.
The horse runs in the colours of Amazon Racing.
