Community leaders help to get village out of a mess

A clean-up project in a Staffordshire Moorlands village has been hailed a success.

Dozens of people, including community leaders, joined forces to tidy up the village of  Kingsley, near Cheadle on SaturdayThe initiative was sparked by a local resident expressing concerns over litter, dog mess and general untidiness in the village.

Kingsley village hall committee responded by organising Saturday’s tidy-up as part of the ‘Love Where You Live’ campaign connected to Keep Britain Tidy.

Other villages throughout the Moorlands are now being encouraged to follow Kingsley’s lead.
