Oatcake inspired ice cream is a hot favourite

AN oatcake-inspired ice cream is proving a hot favourite with diners at a  village pub in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Customers at the 17th Century Bulls Head, in Alton, are devouring some 30 litres of the Staffordshire Oaty every week.

The unusual-flavoured ice cream is produced exclusively for the inn just a few miles away at Dalton’s Dairy in Wootton.

It’s just one of range of exotic ice creams produced at the family-run dairy – others include lemon curd, chocolate orange and salted caramel.
