AN intelligence-led police raid in Stoke-on-Trent resulted in a large quantity of heroin and crack being seized earlier today (April 20).
Officers stopped a Kia Ceed in Northcote Street, Shelton, shortly after 11 o’clock .
The passenger of the vehicle, a 27-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent, attempted to flee but was caught quickly by officers who found him in possession of £5,000 of heroin and crack and a knife. He was subsequently arrested for possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and possession of a bladed article.
A 38-year-old woman from Leek, who was driving the vehicle, was also arrested for possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
Following intelligence gained at the scene, officers then proceeded to a flat on King Street in Fenton where they discovered a further £2,000 of Class A drugs and £3,000 cash.
An 18-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent was arrested for possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply. A 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, both at the address and from Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested for being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.
