Endon Well Dressing festivities will begin with a thanksgiving service

THE finishing touches are being applied to this year’s Endon Well Dressing festivities which commence tomorrow (May 26) for three days.

The traditional thanksgiving service will take place at St Luke’s Church at 1.30pm.

The service will be conducted by the Rev Alan Betts, assisted by Rev Julie Herbert, the local Methodist minister. The guest speaker is Matthew Parker, Archdeacon of Stoke-on-Trent.

After the service the 5th Leek Scouts Band will lead a procession to old village well for the blessing of the water.

Candice Ameera Virani will be crowned 2018 Well Dressing Queen at 3pm.
