Rare Iron Age gold jewellery now on permanent public display at city museum

IRON Age gold jewellery unearthed on farmland in the Staffordshire Moorlands has gone on permanent display at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery in Hanley.

Two metal detectorists found the three necklaces and a bracelet while searching for hidden treasure in a farmer’s field in the Leekfrith area in 2016.

A campaign launched last September raised £325,000 to enable the rare find to be put on permanent public display in North Staffordshire.
