Big entry of runners expected for 2018 Cheadle 4 road race

ANOTHER big entry of runners is anticipated for next month’s annual Cheadle 4 road race.

Over 230 athletes finished last year’s race won by Ben Gamble (Tipton Harriers) in a time of 20:57, with Michelle Buckle (Newcastle AC) winning the ladies race in 26:54.

It’s the 41st anniversary of the event staged by Cheadle Running Club, which will take place on Sunday, July 8 (10.30am start).

The race starts and finishes at Tean Road recreation ground and forms part of the North Staffs Road Runners Association (NSRRA) programme.

The entry fee is £8 for affiliated runners and £10 for unaffiliated runners. Entries are accepted on the day, but with an extra charge of £2.  Cheques should be made payable to ‘Cheadle Running Club’.

A short fun run will held before the main race (start 10am). Entry fee £2.50.
