A WOMAN has been released from police custody pending further inquiries after £5,000 worth of cannabis was discovered by officers at a house in Caverswall.
Officers were on patrol on School Road when they were made aware of a smell of the drug.
The officers alerted colleagues to the location and the source was identified.
As a result a 22 year old woman was arrested and taken into custody for questioning. She was later released pending further drug analysis and inquiries.
A police spokesman said: “This is an example of good intelligence-led policing and the new response model in action.”
