CHEADLE Running Club’s Jenny Dalkins continued her rich vein of form with a convincing win in the Marchington 10k on Sunday.
Jenny took the lead after a mile and dominated to the finish in a time of 42:39, drawing six minutes clear of her nearest pursuer in the ladies race.
A delighted Jenny said afterwards: ” I’m over the moon with my win and I’m racing strong at the moment .
“All this will contribute to my target later this year in September, when I shall take on the Lake Vernwy half marathon.
She added: “My training for this will follow an eight-week intense plan which I start in the middle of July”.
Three other Cheadle RC members also took on the undulating course at Marchington . Brian Connor completed in a time of 44:40, followed in by Adrian Reeves-Jones 46:06 and Sally Kenny 51:29.
Jenny Dalkins is advised and trained by her husband, Mark, the former Great Britain international runner.
