Big Time Dancer waltzes to welcome win for trainer Jennie

BIG Time Dancer waltzed to a welcome win for Staffordshire Moorlands trainer Jennie Candlish at Hexham Races today.

The five-year-old old’s victory in a 2m maiden hurdle brought an end to a recent barren spell for the Basford Grange yard.

The win brought quick compensation for the stable’s disappointment in the preceding 3m chase, which saw Red Giant unship jockey David Noonan at the first fence.

Stable jockey Sean Quinlan got the leg up on Big Time which came home 6/4 favourite by a just under two lengths.

The win made the 340-mile round trip up to Northumberland worthwhile for the stables near Leek.
