Caverswall death not being treated by police as suspicious

POLICE are not treating the death of a man in a Staffordshire Moorlands village on Sunday evening as suspicious.

Paramedics were sent to School Lane, Caverswall, at around 6.30pmĀ  following reports of a man in cardiac arrest

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Staffordshire, but it became apparent nothing could be done to save his life and he was confirmed deceased.”

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “The circumstances around the death do not appear to be suspicious and a report is being prepared for HM Coroner.”
