Werrington fun day in support of Scotty’s Little Soldiers

A BIG fun-packed day is about to be enjoyed by families at Werrington this Saturday – and all for a good cause.

It’s the ninth annual Funday organised by the Werrington Young Persons Support Group, which this year is supporting Scotty’s Little Soldiers.

The charity provides help for young people mourning a parent lost while serving in the British Armed Forces

The ninth annual fun day is taking place at Meigh Road playing fields, which are located off the A52 Potteries – Ashbourne road.

This year are set to be more stalls, games, side shows and activities than ever and there will be continuous live entertainment throughout the day which runs from noon to 4pm.

Other attractions will include a dog show, a penalty shoot-out, special children’s play area and an invitation to take part in a ‘Future of Werrington’ campaign. Visitors will also be able to have a go in the wet-sponge-stocks.
