LEEK Club Day is an ecumenical festival dating back more than 200 years.
It’s sometimes affectionately referred to as ‘Walking Round Day’ by traditional locals.
The occasion sees worshippers from different denominations in the town gather for the celebration every July.
Thousands of people line the streets to watch the parade around the town centre which culminates with a service in Market Place.
Each church group has its own colourful banner and every year there is a theme to the event. This year it is ‘Peace’.
”It’s an opportunity for the11 churches taking part to go out into the community, to show that the Church is alive, active and having fun,” said a spokesman.
