Leek need a tonic win after last weekend’s double dose of miser

LEEK are in need of a tonic victory after the double dose of misery forced down their throats last weekend.

After Stone SP pushed them back down into the relegation places on Saturday, by registering a winning draw, the Leek Cup holders were forced out of this year’s competition by Division One outfit Little Stoke the following day.

Leek were without Daniel Richardson and Wayne White (pictured) for their cup defence, as the two players were on Unicorns Championship duty for their respective counties, Staffordshire and Cheshire.

Richardson and White will be back for this Saturday’s bottom-of-the-table clash at Whitmore which Leek cannot afford to lose.

Only nine points separate the two sides at the foot of the NSSCL Premier Division table and if Leek fail to pull off a win they are in danger of hitting rock bottom.
